Do you ever talk with someone, trying to smile and make constructive suggestions, while your brain shouts 'I hate you!' over and over and over? I really hate some people. We all must feel this way once in a while.
I used to work with an account director who could keep his voice summer-day pleasant the whole during a conference call with client, all while spasmodically jumping up and down, whipping and waving double-middle fingers at phone. And then two days later go out and rack up $4000 worth of dinner/strippers expenses while entertaining the same client.
When I started bike racing in 2006, I got dropped from every race [and team ride] for months. But I persevered and have steadily improved — I'm now a cat 3 (!) and expecting to get my butt kicked by the tough 1,2,3 field.

I never could figure that business out.
No. I play the other role and honestly I feel terrible that I apparently cause so much irritation.
HA! I'm sure you don't, Eve.
