Because when I vent my frustrations to him, he tells me what I need to hear. In this case that getting dropped in January [on a HARD ride] doesn't mean I'm not doing well. I could do some workouts that would strengthen me to the point that I could easily keep up, but doing that now would hurt me later in the year, during racing season. So I just have to suck it up for now and stay the course.

And thinking about where I was last year at this time -- nowhere near as strong as I am now -- also gives me hope. I'll be OK come racing season.
